Billings School District 2 is seeking a Mental Health Specialist I to enhance student functioning and achievement within the school setting.BCEA Support Staff Position.Schedule: 182 day/9-month school calendar; .875 Full Time Equivalent. 7 hours per day; Monday - Friday.Wage: MHS I - $17.43 per hour for 120 day probationary period; then $19.37 per hour.QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Service field or experience in related field with certification (Registered Behavior Technician).- Successful and related experience with student behaviors.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES (may include but not limited to the following):- Provides direct behavioral and emotional support to students.- Provides consultation to school personnel (teachers and paraprofessionals).- Observes in the classroom.- Assists in crisis situations.- Collects quantifiable data through observation and provides written reports.- Assists the coordinator/teacher with the development and implementation of behavioral intervention plans.- Provides staff training in social, emotional, and behavioral interventions when appropriate.- Monitors student progress with taught interventions and skills.- Clearly and effectively communicates with school personnel.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
