A Place to Be Proud.Responsibilities* Collaborates with senior leaders and system resources to plan, organize, and direct role specific and unit specific education requirements. Conducts and/or attends meetings that directly affect the planning, coordination, promotion, and implementation of programs.* Develops and oversees new hire orientation consistent with employee's job expectations, compliance standards, and NCH policies and procedures. Monitors, collects, and evaluates employee's on-boarding progress, competency, and meeting safety standards.* Evaluates new hire orientation to ensure compliance standards and requirements, and recommends changes to services, materials, or operation.* Serves as educational resource to assigned unit. Facilitates communication of policy changes, system, and educational opportunities impacting unit.* Provides classroom style education, huddles, or other methods of delivery of education targeting needs of assigned unit.* Oversees competency assessments and skills training related to milieu management, patient and employee safety, and Joint Commission regulations.QualificationsEducation:* Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Education, Criminal Justice, or related field required; or six years of equivalent experience, required.* Master's Degree, preferred.Skills:* Proficient skills in Microsoft office, time management, and organization.* Strong interpersonal skills, adept in collaboration, and ability to relate effectively with all hospital staff.* Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.Experience:* Three years of comparable experience in a hospital setting within the past 3 years, required.* Previous behavioral health experience, required.* Experience in de-escalation and safety training, preferred.The above list of duties is intended to describe the general nature an
