Actalent is hiring for a Medical Technologist (MLT or MT) for a full time opportunity in Washington, D.C.

　　Job Description:

　　ASCP or AMT certified clinical laboratory scientist or histotechnologist with at least one year of IHC experience. Experience performing antibody validations would be optimal. IHC experience must be using DAKO automation and/or technologist must have HQIP examination certification. Technologist must be flexible and willing to perform other duties in the anatomic pathology laboratory as staffing needs including the following:

　　Slide distribution

　　Accessioning

　　Slide and block filing

　　Histotechnologist specific:

　　Embedding & microtomy

　　Tissue processor changing

　　Medical technologist specific:

　　Cytology FNA coverage

　　Cytology medical sample preparation

　　Skills:

　　Staining, Pathology, IHC, Ascp, Laboratory, Biology, Chemistry, Accessioning, Tissue samples

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　ASCP OR AMT Certification

　　Histotechnologist specific skills including: embedding, microtomy , and immunohistochemistry (IHC)

　　IHC experience is REQUIRED
