　　Summary:

　　The Medical Staff Specialist is responsible for assuring departmental and hospital regulatory compliance with the credentialing and re-credentialing processes requiring Medical Staff committee approval. Monitors practitioner membership and privileging eligibility and maintains credentialing and other Medical Staff Office data bases. Performs other duties as assigned.

　　Experience

　　Required: 3 years Medical Staff Office operations or 1 year credentialing/credentialing support or 2 years of Administrative Support.

　　Education

　　Required: High School or Equivalent

　　Prefer - Bachelors - Healthcare Administration or related field

　　Certifications:

　　Prefer: Cer Provider Credentialing Specialist

　　Prefer: CPCS (Credentialing)
