　　The Medical Staff Coordinator will have knowledge of health care systems and credentialing practices.

　　Performs chart review to identify potential issues with service delivery, patient outcomes and satisfaction, and quality compliance.

　　Gathers, analyzes, trends, and reports quality data.

　　Composes, types, and transcribers correspondence forms, reports, presentation materials, and other written communications.

　　Other responsibilities are the support of case management, abstraction, and quality reporting as needed.

　　Provides administrative support to the Medical Staff, conducts provider orientation, education on policy and procedures as well as Medical Staff Bylaws.

　　Minimum EducationAssociate’s degree - RequiredBachelor’s degree - Preferred

　　Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Someautonomous decision making is involved regarding medical staff credentialing process. Gathers information,reviews and forwards to Credentials Committee complete applications. Able to independently review andescalate issues involving credentialing/privileging to Director. Must be able to work in a stressful environmentand take appropriate action.Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hireLicenses:RN in the state of Kentucky
