The medical secretary will provide a variety of clerical and receptionist support services to the off-campus Health Center settings. The primary focus of this position is to provide secretarial assistance in managing and maintaining office operations to include the computer systems (e.g. Registration & Scheduling, RIS, PACS, and Voice Recognition) while delivering quality services. These responsibilities can include patient scheduling and registration; greeting and processing patients; preparing medical records; and handling visitors, physicians and other health care professionals in the delivery of a customer friendly service. Education/Experience: * Successful completion of high school or has a high school equivalency diploma * Previous clerical/office training and/or education with medical terminology preferred Skills/Abilities: * Ability to effectively communicate with patients, staff, students, and physicians. * Ability to provide excellent customer service to a variety of people. * Ability to promote and work in a team setting. * Possess strong skills in: * Computers * Problem solving * Multi-tasking * Prioritizing Licenses/Certificates/Registrations: * None required Salary Range The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $18.00 to $23.59 per hour.
