　　JOB DESCRIPTION:

　　Transcribe patient appointments

　　Manage an average of 4 patients per hour

　　Facilitate diagnostic tests and referrals to medical specialists

　　Assist the Physician with fundamental patient care

　　Review lab results with provider

　　Return calls to patient with results as directed by clinician

　　Call in medications to pharmacy as ordered by clinician

　　Ensure that all records contain the necessary completed and signed forms

　　Responsible to check patient’s identifier (e.g. patient name, date of birth, social security number, and address) before performing vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, height, and weight.

　　Ensure that the provider gives a copy of all necessary forms or paperwork (prescriptions. referrals, etc.) to the patient

　　Ensure that all ordered tests and lab work has been included in the EMR

　　Responsible to ensure that all letters ordered by the provider are sent to the patient or outside facility

　　Ensure that the patient receives patient education material and a clinical summary

　　QUALIFICATIONS:

　　1+ years experience as a Medical Scribe

　　Proficient in medical terminology

　　EMR knowledge

　　Strong computer and typing skills

　　Bilingual in Spanish
