Description

　　Robert Half is partnering with a prominent hospital in Portland to identify a Medical Scheduler for a contract-to-hire position. In this role, you will be patient facing and will provide general reception support and clerical support as assigned. The ideal individual for this role will have excellent customer service skills, experience with EPIC EMR, hold the ability to work independently, have previous scheduling experience, and have the ability to multitask effectively.

　　Responsibilities include:

　　Check-in of patients for appointments and schedule appointments

　　Manage patient data and other insurance information

　　Document information in the database and assist patients with obtaining or filling out forms

　　Perform insurance verifications

　　Support new patient intake and patient scheduling functions as needed

　　Requirements

　　2+ years of customer service experience in a customer or client facing position

　　Experience with EPIC EMR required

　　Prior scheduling experience required

　　Healthcare experience required

　　Strong attention to detail

　　Excellent written and verbal communication skills

　　Passion for healthcare and for helping others

　　Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
