JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: Purpose Assist studycoordinators by providing administrative and data collection support forclinical research studies conducted in the Children\'s WisconsinEmergency Department. Primary Functions Under direction of the studycoordinator, research manager, and/ or principal investigator, conductresearch activities to include; administer surveys, recruit, enroll andfollow-up with study participants as directed. Organize studyparticipant charts, files, and maintain up to date files. Collectsamples from patients as needed. Process and transport samples asdirected. Collect required data from study coordinators and researchnurses. Code and enter onto clinical research forms into computerizeddatabase. Coordinate and support protocol adherence during theenrollment period in the ED and on the floor as necessary. Order andmaintain log of stipend checks and/or gift certificates to bedistributed to study participants. Verify accuracy of distributedincentives. Provide relevant research information to support to nursesand investigators. Compose letters to study participants. Maintainaccurate and timely research records while maintaining patientconfidentiality, according to the principles of Good Clinical Practice(GCP) and regulatory compliance. Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Knowledge of biology, chemistry,mathematics, documentation, and records management. Data utilization,complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, andwriting skills.
