Description

We are seeking an organized and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team in Pomona, California. This is a temp-to-hire position, offering an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to a warm, patient-focused environment. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring they feel welcome and supported throughout their visit.

Must be Bilingual in Spanish

Key Responsibilities:

Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments in a timely and accurate manner.

Greet patients and visitors with a professional and approachable demeanor, ensuring a welcoming office environment.

Verify and update patient information, including insurance details, in the system.

Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting co-pays and processing payments.

Maintain accurate records by scanning and filing documents in electronic medical systems.

Respond to inquiries in-person, over the phone, and via email in both English and Spanish.

Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, effectively communicating urgent messages when necessary.

Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Perform general office duties, including managing mail, ordering supplies, and handling faxes.

Support a collaborative environment by assisting with additional administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Fluent in both Spanish and English, with the ability to speak, read, and write in both languages.

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in medical administration preferred.

1+ years of experience in a medical office setting, with a working knowledge of medical terminology.

Proficient in using electronic medical records and scheduling software (experience with systems like eClinicalWorks or Epic is a plus).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service excellence.

Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Reliable transportation to commute to the Pomona office location.
