Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist for a full-time contract position at our dermatology practice in Santa Monica. You will be the first point of contact for all our patients and will play an essential role in creating a welcoming and professional environment.

Responsibilities:

Greet patients upon arrival, check them in/out, and maintain a friendly and professional demeanor.

Coordinate and schedule appointments, manage calendar conflicts, and handle rescheduling needs.

Answer phone calls and respond to questions concerning appointments, treatments, and other inquiries.

Maintain up-to-date patient records and ensure the privacy and confidentiality of patient information adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Collect payment for services and process insurance claims.

Keep the waiting area clean, comfortable, and organized.

Assist with tasks and administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a medical front desk position, preferably in a dermatology setting.

Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A responsible and empathetic attitude toward patients.

Basic understanding of medical terminologies.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
