  MaineGeneral Health is a CAP-accredited, 24/7 laboratory responsible for conducting over 1.3 million tests annually for the central Maine community.   The Opportunity:

  At MaineGeneral Health, we take pride in our exceptional team of dedicated Techs and Assistants. Together, we harness the power of cutting-edge analyzers and technology to deliver the best possible patient results while streamlining workflows for efficiency.

  We welcome applications from individuals currently enrolled in accredited Lab Science programs or recent graduates. As a teaching lab, we are committed to fostering a supportive environment that nurtures your professional growth. Our organization features three exceptional campuses situated in the Augusta and Waterville areas, providing a diverse range of experiences and opportunities for you to explore and thrive within our dynamic healthcare community.

  The Work:

  Performs precise diagnostic/analytic testing and collection of specimens. Interprets, documents, and reports test results.

  Performs and evaluates quality control testing and executes instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.

  Verifies analytic accuracy, precision, and sensitivity for test methods.

  Demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills when collaborating with laboratory personnel, internal stakeholders, and external customers.

  Utilizes problem-solving and critical thinking to ensure quality management standards are met.

  You Have:

  A bachelor's degree or Graduate of an accredited program is required

  One of the following certifications is strongly preferred within 6 months of hire: Certification by American Society of Clinical Pathologists- Medical Laboratory Technician: MLT (ASCP) or Medical Laboratory Scientist: MLS or MT (ASCP); or Certification by American Medical Technologists - Medical Laboratory Technician: MLT (AMT) or Medical Technologist: MT (AMT)

  A degree of flexibility is a requirement, including weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations.

  Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
