Description

　　Summary:

　　Performs laboratory testing of patient specimens in one or more sections of the laboratory.

　　Work Schedule: Part Time Days shift between the hours of 0500-1730 including weekends and holidays.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Performs diagnostic/analytic testing of specimens. Interprets, documents and reports test results.

　　Performs quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.

　　Complies with good laboratory practice and regulatory requirements.

　　Performs projects as assigned as well as serves as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff as needed.

　　Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

　　Requirements:

　　Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree and graduate of an accredited Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist program. Required Licensure/Certification: Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) or as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or categorical ASCP certification in a laboratory specialty/sub-specialty as applicable to job responsibilities. State licensure if required by law. Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Relevant life support certification as determined at position level.

　　Minimum Experience: None Required.

　　Previous experience in Microbiology reading culture plates and digital plate reading/Microbiology automation systems preferred.The pay range for this position is: $31.61 - $47.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
