Job Title: Medical Lab Scientist

Job Description

As a Medical Lab Scientist, your main responsibilities will include determining the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria, performing routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures, and monitoring, operating and troubleshooting instrumentation to ensure proper functionality. You will also be expected to demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving, prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls, report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care, perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures, identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary and assist with processing of specimens when needed. Safety is paramount, hence you'll be expected to maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Manhattan, Kansas.

2nd Shift: M-F 2pm - 11:30PM with rotating weekens
