Description

Robert Half is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for medical services rendered. This role requires a strong understanding of medical billing and coding, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims to various insurance companies.

Generate and send patient bills, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

Record payments from insurance companies and patients accurately in the billing system.

Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resolve discrepancies, and appeal denied claims when necessary.

Address patient inquiries regarding their bills, explain insurance coverage, and assist with payment plans.

Ensure billing practices comply with HIPAA regulations and other applicable laws and guidelines.

Generate reports on billing activities, outstanding claims, and revenue cycle metrics for management review.

Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to resolve billing issues and ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing and coding preferred.

Invoice handling experience required

Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
