*This position serves as a float position to cover all offices and specialty clinics within Fauquier Health Physician Services when applicable. Office locations in Gainesville, Warrenton, Culpeper, and Bealeton. *

The Medical Assistant will provide general patient care in a physician office setting. The Medical Assistant will complete tasks as directed by physician and office manager to ensure seamless operation.

Under the supervision of physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.Administers injections, vaccines and medications and other related tasks as instructed by physician.Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.Who We Are:

Minimum Education□ High school diploma or equivalent □ Preferred X Required

Required SkillsCertifications:X Basic Life Support BLS (may be obtained week of orientation)

X Medical Assistant must be credentialed by an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) (within 6 months of hire).

Minimum Work ExperienceRequired - 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. Demonstrated phlebotomy experience.Preferred - 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse. Six months of phlebotomy skills to include blood draws is preferred.
