Responsibilities: Prepare patient exam rooms and equipmentand select instruments using aseptic and sterile techniques. Escortpatient to exam room, obtain brief history and vital signs. Updatemedical records for physician review. Perform immunizations, injections,venipuncture, urinalysis and other procedures, completing necessarydocumentation. When necessary, package specimens to be sent to lab foranalysis. Assist physician with patient exams and procedures. Greet andregister clinic patients. Obtain and/or update registration informationand referrals or authorizations as necessary. Schedule clinicappointments, ancillary tests and maintain appropriate schedulinginformation. Receive and route incoming clinic phone calls toappropriate area. When necessary, record accurate messages anddistribute to appropriate area. Clean and stock patient exam rooms.Preferred Schedule: Mon- Fri 40 hours Position Requirements: MinimumQualifications: Appropriate experience may be substituted for educationon an equivalent basis. Minimum education: High School Diploma orequivalent. Minimum experience: 2 years medical assisting experience orgraduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
