At Merakey, we put heart and soul into everything we do.We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at our program in Philadelphia, PA 19119.Earn $19.00/hour.Position DetailsThe Medical Assistant position will be responsible for obtaining physical health measure information (e.g., height, weight, BMI, blood pressure, etc.) from individuals upon admission to Merakey Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), prior to medication checks with psychiatric staff, and at other times depending upon program requirements. The medical assistant will need to be able to complete data entry into Avatar - Merakey' s Electronic Health Record (EHR)and support psychiatry staff.
The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing support to Psychiatrists, Physicians, and Medical Directors on a daily basis that allows for the treating physician to provide the highest quality of client care while maintaining the appropriate administrative support. Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:Completion of accredited program for example (AMT) or (RMA) with Medical Assistant Certificate.High School diploma or G.E.D.Minimum 1 year experience working as a medical assistant, preferably in a behavioral health setting.Computer knowledge (for instance, use of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) and data entry experience is required. Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Excellent organization and written and verbal communication skills.Quality documentation and record keeping skillsAbility to effectively meet competing priorities within expected timeframesCertification as a phlebotomist preferred.
