Job Description: The MedicalAssistant (MA), while working within the scope of only those acts whichare delegated by the supervising physician or registered nurse (RN),provides direct patient care to assist in meeting individual andage-specific needs of patients and families/significant others. Thisresponsibility includes provision of compassionate, safe, and competentcare as delegated by physician or RN. The MA receives daily directionand provides daily organizational support for the physician and team.The need for direct or general supervision is determined based onstandards of practice and includes complexity of patients, competency,and education.
