JOB REQUIREMENTS: Kenosha Community Health Center is looking forexperienced Medical Assistants. POSITION SUMMARY The Patient CarePartner-Medical Assistant (PCP-MA) has a vital role within theKCHC/Pillar Health integrated care team model. As a key assistant to anassigned care provider(s), the PCP-MA ensures a well-prepared, patientand family centered, safe, timely and efficient office visit. The PCP-MAworks in the context of a care team that is co-managed by the MedicalProvider and the Registered Nurse-Care Coordinator (RNCC) to ensureeffective management of a patient panel using proactive and planned caregoals while also coordinating the care team necessary to achieve them.The Patient Care Partner-Medical Assistant (PCP-MA) will performdelegated clinical, clerical, and administrative duties within thesupervising physician\'s scope of practice consistent with the MA\'seducation, training, and experience. Such duties shall be active andcontinuous but shall not necessarily require the physical presence ofthe supervising physician at the time and place that the services arerendered. The PCP-MA may receive duties delegated by the RNCC. ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusiveand may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, asmanagement may deem necessary from time to time. PRIMARY TASKS ANDDUTIES Maintenance of a Safe and Functional Clinic Environment *Performs clinic opening procedures at the start of each clinic day toensure it is prepared for the planned patient care. * Performs examroom turnover between patients to ensure room is clean, and containsequipment and supplies required for the next scheduled visit. *Performs terminal cleaning and restocking at the end of the day and asneeded based on volume. * Maintains general facility integrity andcleanliness in accordance with environment of care standards. * Appliesinfection control practices including but not limited to hand hygiene,isolation and masking requirements, cleaning, and sterilizationprocedures. * Participates in the maintenance of supply par levelstocking and reordering. * Ensures clinical equipment and instrumentsare in good working order and maintained in accordance with manufacturerrecommendations. Pre-visit Planning * Reviews daily schedule andpatient records for anticipated screening, needs, or other issues to beaddressed during the visit. * Ensures availability of required patientinformation required during the planned visit.
