Squirrel Hill Health Center (SHHC), a dynamic and growing Federally Qualified Health Center in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking full time Medical Assistants for our new Bellevue location.

　　The Medical Assistant will provide direct services to patients in our Primary Care Centers.  Candidates  must have excellent interpersonal skills, both in person and on the phone.

　　Essential Responsibilities:

　　Act as a liaison for patients, clinicians, and staff, by phone or in person  

　　Follow logical and timely approaches to solving problems and making decisions regarding  managed care including -

　　vitals

　　phlebotomy

　　vaccine administration

　　specimen processing

　　testing

　　scheduling

　　other tasks as required

　　Qualifications:

　　COVID and FLU vaccines, including boosters, required

　　Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school

　　Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical setting

　　Experience in Primary Care, Pediatrics, &/or OB/GYN preferred

　　Experience with electronic health records (EHR) required 

　　CPR certified

　　Ability to speak Spanish or Nepali a plus

　　Ability to lift up to 35 pounds

　　Available to work in other office locations as needed (Squirrel Hill &/or Brentwood)

　　Available to work a rotating shift including evenings (Tuesday &/or Thursday) and weekends (either Saturday or Sunday) as needed
