As a Media Insights Lead at Chase, you will play a pivotal role in leading and transforming our understanding of media performance and planning to achieve business goals. You will have the opportunity to lead a talented team of data insight professionals, uncovering media-actionable insights on Chase customers and target audiences that guide campaign development and establish the role of Paid Media. As the discipline lead, you will set the strategic direction for the media insights function, promote process improvement, and ensure the high quality data-promoten insights are delivered to business stakeholders. We also look forward to your contribution to the transformation of the Insights vertical, building consumer data ecosystems that combine analytical and survey-based data assets into one unified intelligence platform.
Job Responsibilities:
Build and lead a high-performing team of data insights analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and process improvements
Manage the annual media insights book of work, including research initiatives, data collection strategies, and reporting frameworks
Design and lead robust processes for data collection, analysis, and reporting that ensures accuracy, consistency, and compliance with controls standards
Be the voice of the consumer(s); utilize 1st party, 2nd party, and 3rd party data to provide a comprehensive view of consumer behaviors and how they relate to competitive advantage for Chase
Synthesize learnings from data platforms, ongoing brand tracking, contact panels, syndicated materials, historical testing, behavioral analytics, product features/positioning, and customer journeys into a cohesive and actionable story
Create and publish insight reports on a regular cadence, managing from hypothesis generation, brainstorming, recommendation building, on to final deliverable
Provide Media Management and Line of Business Marketing teams with business and consumer insights to define and refine target audience segments
Partner with Brand and Corporate insights teams on collaborative approaches that provide a multidimensional view of the consumer, and the role of JPMC products and services in their lives
Maintain forward looking perspective on the media and consumer data landscape, ensuring Chase maintains and extends its competitive advantage
Partner with other Data Analysts, Product and Technology teams to identify opportunities to build solutions for Consumer Research
Provide mentorship and direction to junior team members, and contribute to the Media team's collective toolkit to continually enhance our effectiveness as an organization
Required Qualifications, Skills and capabilities:
7+ years' experience in digital marketing; experience conducting primary and secondary research using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies
Ability to translate consumer voices into actionable insights to inform strategic business objectives and decisions
Ability to support opinions and perspectives with insightful, strategic and data-substantiated rationale
Strong storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into simple, powerful narratives in verbal, visual, and written formats to senior leaders
Strong attention to detail and an obsession with maintaining accuracy/clarity in your written communications
Understanding of methodology, data & systems from a broad range of research providers, including emerging tools and methods
Deep knowledge of 3rd party data landscape, with demonstrated experience partnering with third parties to deliver innovative, actionable consumer insight work
Exceptional project management skills with the ability to adapt quickly, dynamically, and intelligently while working independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and capabilities:
Working experience utilizing DSPs and Social buying platforms to derive insight and inform media strategy
Working experience creating, managing and tracking audiences in data management platforms (e.g. Salesforce Audience Studio, Adobe Audience Manager, Oracle BlueKai, Amobee, Google GCP + GMP, etc.) and/or customer data platforms to create audience profiles and taxonomies of strategic value to firm wide growth preferred
Financial-service category, highly-regulated category experience, and/ or in-house experience preferred
Experience working with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR and CCPA, with demonstrated understanding of their impact on data collection
