Description
Position Overview:
Johnson Fitness & Wellness (JFW), the largest specialty fitness retailer in the US, is looking for a Media Coordinator to join our dynamic marketing team. As part of the marketing team, this role will assist in the development, implementation, optimization, and management of paid media campaigns across various channels. There will be a strong focus on training and development while in this role learning the fundamentals of media.
This person must have strong attention to detail, as accuracy in this role is imperative. This position will report to the Performance Marketing Manager for the US retail division.
Responsibilities:
Media Planning and Tactical Execution:
· Work with the Performance Marketing Manager to strategically target audiences across channels such as social, paid search, mobile, display, TV, radio and out of home.
· Assist in the content direction, management and optimization of creative executions that are timely, accurate, data-driven and eye catching.
· Identify key media consumption attributes and insights for our target audience utilizing research and past campaign insights to make media recommendations.
· Proactively find new media opportunities to drive brand awareness, store traffic and website engagement as they arise in the marketplace.
· Support channel execution across owned and channels, including troubleshooting issues, confirming specs and creating unique UTMs.
Budget Management and Billing:
· Own the billing process from start to finish, accurately collect vendor invoices, track payment and code to proper account.
· Accrue media charges to ensure proper monthly budgets are accurate.
· Actualize spending on media flowcharts and work through budget reconciliations.
· Communicate any billing issues to Performance Marketing Manager and accounting teams.
Measurement and Analysis:
· Accurately pull metrics and analytics per channel to populate weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports.
· Understand the nuances in data sources including Google Ads reports, GA4, Meta and align them with internal traffic and sales data.
· Analyze data and begin to make insights to optimize media spend.
· Understand KPI metrics by channel and keep an eye on performance trends within data.
Marginal Job Functions:
· May require occasional travel to agencies, vendors and various JFW sites.
· Other projects as needed.
Requirements
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising or relevant field, or equivalent experience is recommended.
Experience:
· 1+ years of media experience within an agency, client or publisher environment is preferred.
Other Requirements:
· Familiarity with ad platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, or other similar platforms.
· Strong analytics skills to create insights out of data.
· Proactive and data-driven mindset.
· Interest in fitness or wellness industries a plus (but not necessary)
· Strong writing, verbal and presentation skills required.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
