  Job Summary and Qualifications

  The Manager is responsible for the complete oversight of her/his unit. The Manager serves as liaison between staff and administrative personnel. They establish personnel qualification requirements and perform other personnel management tasks.

  What you will do in this role:

  You will be performing patient rounding in an effort to maximize patient satisfaction and quality standards.

  You will be developing performance plans, identifying performance issues, and managing performance and career development.

  This role provides you with the opportunity to manage and coordinate the activities of Nursing and Support Staff of assigned units to ensure patient care is provided in accordance with the established standards and legal requirements.

  You will monitor, evaluate and modify staffing patterns in order to properly utilize assigned staff to provide patient care in assigned areas; prepares and modifies work schedules as needed to ensure adequate coverage of all shifts; approves paid time off, sick time, and leave of absence requirements for assigned staff.

  What qualifications you will need:

  Minimum of 1 year Med/Surg Oncology experience

  Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing

  Three to Five years of Leadership experience preferred

  Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing

  Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  Bachelors Degree must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date

  Board Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse, or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), or Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date

  ONS Chemo / Biotherapy Fundamentals Provider, or ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Provider must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
