Education:

　　Bachelor´s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

　　Experience:

　　Experience using CAD tools like SolidWorks and/or SolidEdge

　　Knowledge of Engineering organizational change.

　　Proficient English speaking and writing.

　　Experience crafting machined parts (preferred).

　　Must be well organized, a team-player, and possess effective interpersonal.

　　Oracle operational knowledge.

　　Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.

　　CAD modeling experience.

　　Mechanical Design knowledge.

　　Interpretation of engineering specifications for mechanical components.

　　Capable of developing basic tolerance stack-ups and has good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

　　Ability to prioritize and efficiently complete tasks.

　　Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly.

　　Knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools are a plus (ANSYS preferred).

　　Knowledge on general metrology.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Provide feedback recommendations on specifications for existing products.

　　Provide follow up on discrepancies found in Bill of Materials and Drawings.

　　Participate on the design of mechanical assemblies, sheet metal, machined, etc.

　　Evaluate and approve new vendors and part number through Engineering evaluation and performance testing.

　　Transfer production between plants (foreign to Mexico) in source projects.

　　Support Supply Chain on shortage issues finding alternate vendors.

　　Participate in second source activities, approving alternate vendors.

　　Seek assigned Customer Complaints from product portfolio by fixing or improving the design.

　　Support Technical Publications teams on the wording of operations manuals.

　　Build and document field service kits such as upgrade and retrofit kits.

　　Cost reduction activity by approving new part numbers, modifying existing parts or approving new vendors.

　　Build new Mechanical CAD 2D and 3D drawings as required.

　　Generate Engineering Change requests (CRs).

　　Support on the new product development programs ensuring that the committed dates on the program schedules are met.

　　Participate in prototyping and pilot runs when required.

　　Launch Engineered to Order products to production as needed.

　　Familiarity with product data management software and development of bill of materials.

　　With CAD produce models and detailed manufacturing drawings from concept sketches and legacy drawings
