Position Summary
Mechanical Engineering Co-op
To be eligible, students must be actively enrolled at an accredited college/university (enrolled in at least 9 credits per semester or more).
All students must provide proof of enrollment status. Students who continue in intern assignments must provide a current copy of their grades from the prior semester.
All students hired for internship opportunities will be considered “at-will”, part-time teammates who are employed on a semester basis or on the basis required by a school’s co-op program. All students will have to meet the Company’s established performance objectives for interns.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Work with a mentor on gradually increasing responsibilities and technical knowledge
Modify existing equipment per department cross functional team requests, for continuous improvement / automation activities under the guidance of a mentor.
Design and model projects using Autodesk Inventor
Work with vendors on purchasing parts and fabrication of designs to enable project completion
Prepare engineering documentation / technical support guides to assist maintenance in troubleshooting
Competencies required:
Strong verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills
Solid Technical Skills appropriate with level in school
Demonstrates the eagerness to work and learn
Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure design functionality
Demonstrates mechanical aptitude and a hands-on learning approach
