Description:

Utilizes Solidworks and AutoCAD to create models, assembly drawings, detail drawings and bills of material

Will spend 75% of their day doing design and the other 25% supporting the floor for machine builds

Once they are up to speed with the product lines they will spend time supporting customers

Assist sales department with quotations to identify material and labor required to complete project tasks

Identify, investigate and resolve any conflicts with the customers’ published requirements

Verify that the design complies with any required mechanical standards, building codes, local regulations, OSHA regulations and good design practices

Meet with the manufacturing department after the drawings have been released but prior to the start of the build to review the drawings, bill of materials

Travel will be very minimal 2-6 trips per year and will be just 1-2 day trips

Additional Skills Qualifications:

BS in Engineering required

3+ years of design engineering experience

Experience with machine design or designing industrial equipment
