Mechanical Engineer
Location: Bothell, WA
Description:
The Mechanical Engineer is an active participant in the design, procurement, fabrication, assembly, integration, start-up, and commissioning of very large-scale automated aerospace assembly systems. They will work with other Design Engineers to concept, develop and design conventional and automated tooling systems and customized machine tools for the aerospace industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design tools and automation equipment for aircraft and other precision manufacturing industries.
Prioritize project goals related to the mechanical design engineering department.
Provide support for new product introduction to manufacturing.
Creates and revises 3D designs and 2D drawings in accordance with internal and/or customer requirements.
Self-checks and reviews all designs and drawings prior to final release to checking.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
2-3 years related experience in one or more of the following: Heavy Machine Design, Structural Design Aerospace Tooling Assembly Systems and -Automation.
Manufacturing and machine shop background or relevant experience preferred.
CAD Software Knowledge: CATIA V5, NX or Equivalent software knowledge (Solidworks, Pro E, etc.)
Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software (Ansys or Femap is preferred)
