Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for designing mechanical and electro-mechanical products and systems for FAA. You will evaluate customer requirements, conduct trade studies, make/buy assessments, and develop design criteria. You will be tasked with specifying system components or product modifications and conducting engineering analyses. Additionally, you will be required to generate risk mitigation plans and strategies, create proofs of concept, and perform modeling/CAD analysis and prototype development. As a part of your responsibilities, you will develop vendor technical requirements, monitor vendor performance, and develop two-dimensional drawings and design specification documentation using Solidworks. Lastly, you will establish test plans/procedures and review engineering drawings for design conformity, and prepare documents for release.
Skills & Qualifications:
2-10 years of engineering experience
Solidworks
Aviation/Aerospace Experience preferred
