Responsibilities primarily involveengineering design, modeling, and drafting of new and derivativeversions of interior furnishings and wire harnesses as part ofoutfitting new aircraft. Examples include custom cabinetry such asgalleys, lavatories, closets, storage compartments, interiorperipheries, water/waste systems, entertainment equipment installations,and seating installations. The design engineer will design installationsfor these commodities along with necessary airframe modifications tomeet load requirements of the interior installation. Engineering designwork includes the creation of drawings/models using either AutoCAD orCATIA V5. Candidate must have significant experience with AutoCad, CatiaV5, and Smarteam. The design engineer will employ design standardsconsistent with company standards and accepted design methods. Engineerwill be required to liaison with the shop on engineering issues.Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of design experience inbusiness aviation completions. Experience with EWIS preferred. Designassignments are executed under the direction of a Lead engineer or GroupHead to meet the manufacturing schedule. Education and ExperienceRequirements Bachelor\'s Degree required or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience sufficient to successfully perform theessential functions of the job. 5 ys in specific technical discipline or10 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines withBachelors.
