The Lynn Turbofan Turbojet Systems Design (TFTJ) organization is responsible for the design, analysis, integration, and support of both legacy and future military engine products. This position specifically focuses on supporting the inlets and exhausts for the F414 and F404 product lines.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design and ownership of parts and/or assemblies within the afterburner module. You will employ a variety of skillsets, including analysis, design, and product definition, while collaborating with manufacturing to support legacy engine deliveries. This includes implementing design changes, addressing non-conformances, and managing changes in special processes.
This position reports to an engineering manager in Lynn, MA, and offers the opportunity to integrate with various internal and external engineering disciplines.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical and/or electrical engineering for all products
Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering from an accredited university or collegeDesired Characteristics
Bachelor's or advanced degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an accredited college or university.
Current or prior GE Aerospace experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
