Job Responsibilities &Essential Functions of the Job: Reads and follows entry-levelblueprints, shop orders, specifications, and other instructions in orderto build and assemble parts and equipment in an accurate and timelyfashion. Measures parts accurately using scales, micrometers, andcalipers. Utilize overhead crane and rigging procedures. Operatematerial handling equipment. Maintains a clean work area. Occasional JobResponsibilities: Prepares parts for painting. Department clean up andimprovement projects Job Requirements: Requires education generallyequivalent to a High School diploma. Requires mathematical skills thatrequire the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and make metricsystem conversions. Must have the ability to read and understandblueprints and other manufacturing instructions. Must have the knowledgeand ability to use hand tools and machine tools such as drill press,band saw, cut-off saw and grinder. Requires good oral and writtencommunication skills in order to interact with employees. Must be ableto work independently and as a team.
