Collins Aerospace is seeking a Mechanic to work within the Landing Systems group in Everett, WA. We are the Landing Gear team for Boeing 737, 737-Max, and Tankers. You are an industrious worker that excels at meeting assembly timelines. You are interested in technical challenges with landing gear components.
In this role you will collaborate to add the hydraulics and electrical components and perform functional tests of the landing gear.
Position works onsite at our Everett Washington Facility.
Shift information: 1st shift 6:30am – 3:00pm Monday-Friday with occasional overtime .
Starting Pay: $25.00/hour
Primary Responsibilities:
Major and minor assembly of landing gear components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies
Capable of completing and remaining certified in all applicable Boeing Aircraft Company (BAC) specifications to remain a Mechanic
Read and interpret manufacturing blueprints and other pertinent documents used for assembly of landing gear to include but not limited to manufacture specifications, quality documentation, etc.
Interface with engineering, planning, inspection, and customer in a professional manner
Assume the responsibility of completing the work assigned in a quality and timely manner
Work with precision tools
Comply with shelf-life procedures for chemicals used in assembly
Maintain a clean and professional work area and participate in daily cleaning procedures
Comply with hazardous material disposal procedures
Comply with and demonstrate safety policies and procedures
Perform other duties as required to achieve team goals
Basic Qualifications:
HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant manufacturing or mechanic experience is required.
1-year previous maintenance or mechanical experience
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
Capable of completing and remaining certified in all applicable Boeing Aircraft Company (BAC) specifications to remain a Mechanic
Previous production, manufacturing, or aerospace experience
Ability to reliably use hand and pneumatic tools
