Candidates must possess journeyman level plumbing and maintenance skills.Essential FunctionsGeneral maintenance, repair, and installation of plumbing fixtures and hardware such as faucets, drains, showers, manual and automatic flushometers, sinks, water closets, urinals, valves and piping.General repair tasks including ceiling repair, door repair, installing hardware, lamp replacement and light fixture repair.Clearing and unclogging drains and repairing leaks.Reading and interpreting mechanical plans and prints.Completing daily work order assignments under minimum supervision.Working at heights greater than 10 feet from ladders, scaffold and lift equipment.Wearing of respiratory protective equipment (annual pulmonary fit test required)Perform additional duties as assigned.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma / Vocational or Technical SchoolMinimum of 3 years of relevant experienceCity of Philadelphia Plumber's License or equivalent required.Must possess a valid driver's license.Preferred QualificationsFive years of relevant experience preferred.Physical RequirementsTypically standing, walkingLifting demands > 50lbsTypically bending, crouching, stoopingLocationUniversity CityAdditional InformationThis position is classified as a Non-Exempt, Union position.
