This position will also provide additional support to Engineering Technicians for larger projects on an "as needed" basis. Equipment specific training may occur outside of their normal scheduled shift with advanced notice. Successful candidates would be expected to make progress towards and completing the apprenticeship within a 3-4-year time frame. A Place to Be Proud.ResponsibilitiesMonitors and makes minor adjustments and repairs to Building Automation System such as changing thermostats and adjusting temperatures.Makes minor mechanical repairs on features within the building such as ice machine cleaning and preventative maintenance.General knowledge of Smart TV'S, Blu-Ray players, and gaming systems.Daily support of the Pneumatic Tube System by collecting & distributing unused carriers, making minor repairs to station and transfer unit equipment, and responds to alarms interrupting service on campus.Knowing the location of electrical panels, resetting breakers, and routine repairs to light fixtures such as lamp or ballast replacements.Makes minor plumbing repairs within the buildings such as replacing faucets, flush valves, and clearing drain blockages.QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Education:High School Diploma or GED, required.Required Skills:Able to read/follow written directives and document actions taken or follow-up actions, as needed.Mimimun Physical Requirement:OCCASIONALLY: 1-33 OF THE TIME (0.5 TO 2.5 HOURS)Bend/twistSquat/KneelSitting Reaching above shoulderLifting/carrying up to 70 lbs.Pushing/Pulling up to 100 lbs.Depth perceptionColor visionPeripheral visionSeeing- far/nearExposed to blood and/or bodily fluids <
