As a Mechanic for IPS you will apply innovative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and customer focus to repair industrial AC/DC electric motors, generators, gear boxes and related equipment while supporting our continuous improvement process culture. Responsibilities may include:Diagnose incoming units, disassemble, repair, assemble, and prepare items for shipmentPerform mechanical rebuilds on rotating apparatus repairs like electric motors, pumps, and fansMeasure and record data using tables, dial indicators, micrometers, and vibration metersUse multi-meters, meggers, Baker instruments, and measure winding resistance, RTD and heater resistances, and mechanical fits and clearancesParticipate in daily operations discussions on customer productsQualifications and Competencies:1-5 years of AC/DC motor experience preferredAble to perform basic math functionsCapability to diagnose and repair industrial electric motors, fans, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipmentAble to understand, perform and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety proceduresExcellent technical and mechanical skillsSelf-starter and highly motivated personWork overtime and weekends as requiredPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of timeAbility to lift, push, pull, carry items up to 50 lbs.Benefits:Paid Time Off401k Employer MatchOn-the-job TrainingTuition Reimbursement ProgramMedical, Dental and Vision plansSafety shoe & glasses reimbursementAnd more!Any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation.
