Landscapes Unlimited, LLC is one of the country’s premier golf course and recreational development firms; LU is seeking a Mechanic in Augusta, GA.

　　Position is in Augusta, GA- must be willing to relocate if outside the area

　　Responsibilities:

　　Diagnoses electrical, hydraulic, gas and diesel engines, transmissions, and safety systems of equipment and vehicles.

　　Performs repairs and routine preventative maintenance on owned, rented, leased, or third party equipment and vehicles as required and/or per Equipment Manager.

　　Installs special equipment or replacement parts using appropriate tools such as welders, torch sets, and metal cutting saws.

　　Proficiently and safely operates equipment and vehicles to properly diagnose, service, and make repairs.

　　May assist field personnel in person or over the phone with equipment maintenance, small repairs, and troubleshooting.

　　Completes timely and accurate records including daily time sheets, work performed, machine model and serial number or Company number, maintenance history forms, purchase orders, and invoices. May generate work orders in the absence of a Shop Foremen.

　　Maintains all tools and equipment in clean working order and in an organized manner that does not obstruct access to or within the shop or other equipment. Organizes and cleans the shop interior and storage areas and maintains the shop exterior and work areas regularly to a professional standard.

　　May travel to a project, training facility, or vendor for short-term repairs, troubleshooting or training.

　　May be placed on a specific project or geographical area in the field to assist with equipment maintenance and repair for the duration of a project(s).

　　Knowledge, Skills:

　　Knowledge of the standard practices, materials, tools, and equipment used in the repair and maintenance of motor vehicles and engines.

　　Knowledge of safety issues in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies used in repair of motorized vehicles and equipment.

　　Knowledge of body and frame construction.

　　Skill in the use of a variety of hand tools, gas and electric welding equipment including a cutting torch, mechanized tools, jacks, hoists, and diagnostic testing and tuning equipment.

　　Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic malfunctions.

　　Ability to read manuals and schematics.

　　Ability to rebuild engines and major driveline components.

　　Ability to load and unload equipment.

　　Ability to effectively communicate with field personnel about equipment maintenance, repair and safety.

　　Ability to enter repair and maintenance information into equipment management system.

　　Ability to apply experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals.

　　Position requires some travel.

　　Qualifications:

　　High School Diploma or equivalent

　　5 years in post high school education in automotive, heavy duty truck/heavy equipment repair, diesel technology or similar field

　　Must have a clean driving record
