Job Description - Exceed our customers\' evolving expectations bypreparing the freshest quality product while providing World Classcustomer service and a pleasant and rewarding shopping experience withinboth the meat and seafood areas. - Ability to represent Big Y by workingtogether with fellow Big Y employees to deliver an exceptional customerexperience. - Prepare, weigh, finish, slice, price, package, and stockproduct. - Maintain proper department conditions and supplies (e.g.,shelf, case, sales floor, backroom, freezer, cooler, etc.). - Operate,clean, and reassemble equipment/machinery where applicable. -Participate in and encourage continuous improvement through ideas andinnovation (e.g., My Big Y Voice). - Adhere to all government employmentand labor regulations, as well as all Company policies and procedures(e.g., employment laws concerning minors, harassment, discrimination,etc.). - Adhere to all government foods safety and sanitationregulations, as well as, all Company policies and procedures (e.g.,processing, cleaning, culling, coding, rotating, maintaining propertemperatures, etc.). - Adhere to all government safety regulations, aswell as all, Company policies and procedures (e.g., proper use ofequipment, cleaning, straightening, sweeping, clearing unsafeconditions, etc.). - Adhere to all Company asset protection policies andprocedures (e.g., controlling waste and utilities, damaged goods,reporting theft, etc.). - Adhere to all Company procedures regardingstore conditions as outlined in 5S (Sort and remove, Shine and inspect,Set locations and visual cues, Systematize, Stay the course). - Completeall training requirements by respective due dates. Requirements -Ability to represent and support Big Y\'s Mission & Vision. - Ability todemonstrate a passion for food through interactive sales techniques. -Must project a clean and professional appearance. - Must be a teamplayer with a positive attitude and businesslike conduct. - Ability tooperate within Company policies, procedures, and standards. - Ability towork a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the store. -Attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through. - Ability to learnand utilize computer applications. - Must be 18 years of age to operatemachinery.
