  DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis is a part-time driver position with the Area Agency on Aging. Drivers will be involved in the transportation of home delivered meals to designated consumers on list provided by Senior Center Director. The Meal Transporter will assist in assembling meals as needed, will be in charge of morning maintenance check on the motor vehicle, maintain daily trip sheets, records actual mileages and times on delivery sheets, records actual time worked on timesheets. Makes visual contact with each consumer on route verifying that older adult is safe. Assists driving additional trips and other duties as required.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:Permanant part-time employment.Work hours are 8:00 am - 1:00pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.   QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Six months of experience which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training.

  Necessary Special Requirements:You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.

  Conditions of Employment:Your driver's license must have no suspension within the last three years.

  Legal Requirements:A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
