This policy applies to hiring, placement, recruitment, rates of pay or other forms of compensation, benefits, promotions, transfers, layoffs, recalls, Company-sponsored training, terminations, and other employment-related activities.ResponsibilitiesSummary: The role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve work force productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access. Processes preventive and corrective maintenance work orders generated by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Verifies information on the work orders; applies job plans and instructions when needed; distributes to appropriate supervisor/labor person; schedules work to be completed and updates work order into Maximo when work is completed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned. This position is a full-time (minimum 40 hours per week) on-site position.Prepare for safety program activities by reviewing the safety work request backlog and actively pursuing completion and job scheduling.Plan work for outside contractors, make contracts, field investigations, file searches to define scope of work and prioritize jobs in a timely manner.Acquire materials by stores requisition, purchase order or internal fabrication with consistency to specifications.Coordinate with ICS (Inventory Control Specialist) to ensure all newly created items/parts are established in MAS, CMMS and Enterprise Materials Management modules.Review and plan maintenance jobs with assistance of the Maintenance / Operations supervisors to prioritize, secure staffing and materials as well as other support necessary to complete required work.Use the CMMS to improve, modify and add Bill of Materials (BOM), Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PM), controlled documents, standard job plans, JSA, drawings, etc.Facilitate weekly Planning meeting to include Operations & MaintenanceCreate work order packets and job kits for technicians.Work with Operations and Maintenance Supervision to develop weekly work schedules and down time schedules.Engage contractors, service members or Engineering support as the need arises.Maintain all required files and computer updates.Build outage maintenance schedules with work orders and staffing.Work with Plant Engineer on outages to develop area work lists, staffing, contractors, etc. for development of Gantt chart.Support precision maintenance practices (alignment, bearing installations, lubrication, etc.)Review work orders for environmental impact and consult the environmental department, as necessary.Experience with inventory management systems a plus.Handle 3rd Party mandated inspections and documentation.Extended hours and weekends as needed.QualificationsQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
