In addition, there are also possible fulltime opportunities with other McWane Divisions throughout the US, and globally as well.Students in our Co-Op program will gain valuable hands-on experience in all facets of manufacturing and operations in a Foundry Environment. A blend of On-The-Floor and In-Office work assignments will help the applicant develop a wide range of experiences in:Project Management - where you lead and see projects through to completionProblem Solving - define problems, determine cause, and develop and implement solutionsReal world challenges that all businesses face and are important to understandInteracting across all levels of the organizationNote: There are opportunities to do double-semester Co-OpResponsibilitiesJob Description:Study production processes and recommend suggestions for improvements.Collect quality and/or production data and perform analysis (using Minitab and Excel).Participate in various continuous improvement initiatives (i.e. 5S, waste reduction, time studies, etc.).Audit production and/or office processes to ensure documented procedures reflect the current process.Work environment will include roughly an equal mix between time spent on floor and office.Working independently, in a small group, and among groups should also be expected.QualificationsQualifications:Pursuing BS in Metallurgical Engineering or Industrial (and Systems) Engineering.
