About the role
A successful Materials Supervisor is responsible for monitoring, directing, and growing an inventory team. He / She will be focused on initiating and conducting cycle counting duties to ensure all materials are properly verified in the daily / weekly reporting structure. They will maintain inventory accuracy through proper processing of material reports and transfers. Supervisor will be responsible for managing stock at risk inventory and reporting. He / She will assist their team by physically guiding and directing them in proper order to maintaining accurate inventory and managing book to book inventories with 3PL. He / She will report directly to the Materials Manager and keep them abreast of all inventory discrepancies.
Key responsibilities
Timely and Safely completion of assigned directives and responsibilities.
A solid understanding of Supply Chain Theory coupled with hands on inventory/materials planning/scheduling experience.
Responsible for answering Customer Service, Warehouse, Production and Engineering inquiries in a timely manner.
Always maintain a clean and organized work area.
Oversee the development and execution planning to reduce/remove rework or obsolescence inventory.
Lead inventory meetings when called upon.
Run daily and weekly reporting such as daily huddle, rework, on hold... etc.
Attend tier 2 operations meeting and provide attainment and ensure accurate follow ups on gaps from production.
Overseeing the Kronos system for direct reports.
Develop and mentor direct reports.
Follow escalation procedures to department manager.
Any other tasks or projects may be assigned by Department Manager.
Qualifications and skills

Familiarity with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system would be beneficial.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to follow procedures, best practices, and report unsafe and unprofessional behavior.
Able to use Microsoft applications proficiently.
Minimum 2-years experience in supply chain.
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university in a related field preferred
