The Networked Information Solutions (NIS) Advanced Processing Solutions (APS) business is seeking a Project Manager to join our Engineering Team.
This position requires work onsite at either our Advanced Technologies Laboratory located in Linthicum, MD or in Annapolis Junction, MD
Candidate will work as a Project Manager supporting Logistics efforts for the development and deployment of superconducting and quantum computing technology. This highly organized candidate will be responsible for developing streamlined processes and procedures for the Transformational Computing Operating Unit to submit, receive, and handoff order requests for cross-program needs. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the submission and tracking of these order requests through the standardized supply chain process, fielding questions from both supply chain and vendors, maintaining constant communication with supply chain vendors, and completing price justifications for these requests when applicable. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing status reports, managing schedule, and ensuring quality is satisfactory.
This position can be filled at the Materials Project Manager OR the Principal Materials Project Manager level. Qualifications for both are listed below:
Basic Qualifications for Materials Project Manager: Minimum of an Associate's degree with 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, product support, warehouse experience OR a Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience.Can work independently without excessive oversight and direction.Has exceptional organizational skills.Can communicate cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical peers.Is proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).High-level technical understanding of mechanical engineering standards and practices.Willingness and ability to move perform manual work (moving packages, unboxing material, etc.) on an as needed basis.Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite. Preferred Qualifications for Materials Project Manager: Ability to negotiate cost and lead time with vendors.Ability to contact new vendors and determine viability with Northrop Grumman requirements and specifications.Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance. Salary Range 2: $84,600 - $127,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
