Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a MATERIALS HANDLER SUPERVISOR, Position Description Number PDD1949000 and is part of the WY 153rd Logistics Readiness Squadron, Wyoming Air National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required. Responsibilities This position is located in the Wyoming Air National Guard, 153d Mission Support Group, 153d Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS), Asset Management Section of the Materiel Management Flight. The primary purpose is to direct the performance of all warehousing operations (Central Storage, HAZMAT Pharmacy, Aircraft Parts Store (RSP), Individual Protective Equipment, and Individual Equipment Elements). The position has direct technical supervision over Materials Handlers, WG-6907-06, and administrative supervision over the HAZMAT Specialist, GS-2001-09. * This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. * Requirements Conditions of Employment KEY REQUIREMENTS: Open to Air Force, AF Reserves, and Air National Guard military members only. Must become a member of the Wyoming Air Nat'l Guard before appt. Must submit vMPF Rip/Data Verification Rip with application. Must possess AFSC 2S0X1, Material Management, to receive consideration. May be required to successfully complete a 1-year trial/probationary period. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives. Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS). Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval. PCS is not authorized in lieu of incentives. Qualifications AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153 LRS. Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 4: All current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 6: Current and prior service military members of the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position. TECHNICIAN INFO Type of Appointment: Permanent Tenure: Group 1 or 2 Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm FLSA: Exempt Telework: The duties of this position require primary physical presence. Situational telework may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Technician Position #: 0844167 Selecting Official: SMSgt Robert Knight MILITARY GRADE Min: E-6 / TSgt Max: E-7 / MSgt Enlisted applicant's military grade cannot exceed the maximum military grade authorized. Over-grade applicants must provide a written demotion statement of understanding with application, willingness to be administratively reduced in grade (E6/TSgt) if selected for this position. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess experience or training which demonstrates the ability to compare item identification against receiving reports and issue request forms; skill in using hand trucks, dollies, and other equipment to move stock; ability to use hammers, pliers, and other hand tools; and to follow oral and written instructions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience performing inventory and inspections to determine serviceability of stocked items. Experience in interpreting and applying written instructions, reference materials, publications, and manuals. Experience in setting up and rotating storage locations considering factors such as life expectancy, available space, product turnover, etc. AND Experience demonstrating the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments of lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establishing priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: Must possess AFSC 2S0X1, Material Management DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid driver's license.
