Oiles America Corporation, an innovator in self-lubricating bearing technologies, is seeking aMaterial Plannerfor our North Carolina facility. The ideal candidate will be accountable for the complete planning function for designated production lines. To meet the production schedule developed in response to customer orders, the Material Planner ensures material availability, work cell leveling(heijunka), pull system deployment (Kanban, JIT), and material flow through work centers.Are you the one we are looking for?
Qualification RequirementsFour-year degree or a minimum of 3-5 years of planning experience (preferably in automotive industry)APICS certification preferredExperience and knowledge of SAP MM and SD experience

Essential Functions
Develop and utilize work center capacity models to analyze and plan work center operations on a continual basis; plan production in a manner that minimizes overtimeWork with manufacturing to plan flow manufacturing lines and the operations from batch to flow where feasible (JIT knowledge, one piece flow and Pull system practice)Develop demand forecasting for work centers and purchased materials - Deployment of (heijunka) / levelingUnderstanding Lean / Toyota Production System. Analysis of waste and added value activities. (7 muda / 7 waste)Calculating production Kanban lot sizes and review frequentlyAnalysis of material flow by value stream mapping.Investigate, develop, and expand the deployment of pull system and apply continuous flow where necessaryUnderstanding and working with Warehouse Supervisor (Manager) on line feeding systems. (kitting, AGV, internal milk-run)Develop and manage performance reports regarding production rates versus planned production to ensure that the schedule is being executed as plannedMaintain records as required by TS16949Work with Warehousing to identify and develop plans for inventory accuracyReview raw material and WIP inventory programs to ensure minimal inventories are on hand with enough stock to make shipments in a timely mannerMeet with management and/or supervisor daily to communicate production needs and areas of concern to support customer shipmentsWho is Oiles America Corporation?We are a global company with a local approach to business.
