Please review the responsibilities andneeded qualifications below and apply today! Responsibilities TheMaterial Handler performs daily distribution yard activities for afacility. Perform distribution-related functions (receiving, storing,and shipping/building of loads). Operate forklift. Ensure load matchesorder prior to vehicle exiting yard. Perform customer serviceactivities. Material Handlers have broad in-depth knowledge of buildingmaterial products and warehouse operations. Possess alertness andadaptation to warehouse routines. Understand and apply fundamentalmathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, anddivision). Maintain good housekeeping in work area. Follow safetyprograms and ensure compliance of OSHA regulation. Material Handlersdemonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmentalawareness, and continuous process improvement. Perform other duties andresponsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: HSDiploma, GED or two (2) years equivalent work experience. Must be ableto understand and communicate safety and other work relatedinstructions. Working Conditions are in a warehouse operationsenvironment with considerable physical exertion. Will perform duties inall weather conditions. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of buildingmaterial products and engineered wood products a plus. Ability tounderstand and measure lengths of material required. General warehouseexperience, including industrial forklift operation, and/or knowledge ofwarehouse work environment preferred.
