l Job Duration: 12+ Month

l Shift: 1st Shift

l Pay Rate: $20/hrs. On W2.

Job Summary:

l The Material Handler I have the responsibilities of ensuring all daily outbound shipment are completed on time and that all documentation is filled out accurately and completely to meet shipment requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

l Daily processing of all outbound shipments to ensure shipments to all destinations.

l Assists in the coordination of deliveries of material from outside warehouses.

l Observe all LEAN, 5S, and safety improvement initiatives and related procedures within the distribution environment

Qualifications:

l To perform this job efficiently, an individual is able to perform each job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below examples of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

l Able to prioritize work to ensure shipment requirements are aligned and accomplished.

l Able to clearly communicate requirements to customer service through both verbal and written communication.

Education and Experience:

l One to two years of related training and/or experience in distribution or receiving-related business operations is ideal, but not required. Minimum of a high-school certificate is required.

Reasoning:

l Ability to help in solving practical problems related to transportation activities and look for situations where there is no clear precedent for action.

l Ability to interpret a variety of instructions written, oral, or schedule form.

l This person will use their analytical skills to identify where deviations from standard procedures are warranted and to support one’s position for corrective action.

l Able to work and reason in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy and accomplishment.

l Extra hours may be available to stay until all daily shipment paperwork is completed, especially at the quarter-end of each accounting period.

Other Knowledge:

l Requires good oral and written presentation skills to communicate ideas and procedures to management and peers.

l Proficiency in Word, Excel applications is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

l The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee for the essential functions of this job.

l While performing daily duties, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The individual required to lift boxes up to 30 lbs. in weight.

l They will spend considerable time at a computer keyboard, composing receiving paperwork, spreadsheets, and handling e-mail.

l This position requires standing for a period of 8 hours during a 10-hour shift.

l Operation of power lift equipment is required to move material throughout the warehouse.
