Core HoursMonday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pmPurposeThe Material Handler I performs the physical and/or administrative tasksinvolved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing ofmaterials, parts, supplies and equipment.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesVerify quantities, lot numbers, and part numbers against documentationpreviously prepared.Issue and move components, supplies and printed materials from the warehouseto meet manufacturing and inter-company requirements.Stage raw materials for dispensation to Issuance Group.Verify and receive materials returned from manufacturing in a timely manner.Document material transactions by recording on appropriate documents and inelectronic Materials Management systems.Manually or using forklift, move material within the warehouse areas and inand out of trucks.Maintain warehouse areas in a clean and orderly state.Investigate inventory discrepancies as needed.Assist in preparing pharmaceutical product for shipment to contractmanufacturers, clinical sites and customers, both domestic and international.Document shipment transactions on appropriate documentation and incomputerized systems.Provide accounting with documentation for invoicing.Verify and receive delivered material in a timely manner.Work with accounting to close Purchase Orders for vendor payment.Perform trips to other Tolmar facilities as needed.Participate in required annual hazardous waste training.Hazardous waste involvement may include but is not limited to making wastedeterminations, waste packaging, container and tank management andinspection, and transfer of hazardous waste to and from storage.Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesSkill in effective oral and written communication.Ability to read, understand and follow procedures.Ability to use critical thinking to address potential areas of concern.Work independently and properly prioritize tasks with limited supervision.Ability to follow written production records and validation protocols.Ability to work with computer systems.Ability to operate a forklift and drive delivery trucks.Ability to lift 50 pounds.Ability to be certified on a stand-up forklift, delivery trucks and otherwarehouse equipment.Ability to interact with peers and members of other departments in teamsettings in a professional manner.Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and externalcustomers at all times.Core ValuesThe Material Handler I is expected to operate within the framework ofTolmar's Core Values:Consistently operate with the highest standards of ethics and compliance.Take ownership of your actions, success and setbacks.Respect each other and understand that honest collaboration is at the heart ofour company success.Go the extra mile to make things happen.Be committed to all we do and the patients we serve.Embrace change with enthusiasm.Strive to learn about and understand the needs of customers and patients,and take action with great speed and efficiency no matter the task.Education & ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED required.Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, andshipping/receiving preferred.One or more years experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environmentpreferred.Valid Driver's License.An acceptable MVR is required.Working ConditionsWorking conditions are in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.Occasional overtime may be required.Work may consist of travel between multiple facilities.Compensation and BenefitsPay: $18.54 per hourBenefits summary:Tolmar compensation programs are focused on equitable, fair pay practicesincluding market-based base pay and a strong benefits package.
