TURNERS FALLS Material Handler - 3rd Shift Description Judd Wire Inc., aSumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a 3rd Shift (11pm-7am)Material Handler in our Turners Falls, MA facility. Individuals will beresponsible for a variety of duties including: Performing requiredoperations connected with measuring, inspecting, testing and re-spoolingwire and cable in preparation for shipping or its next operation.Targeted job training provided for all skill levels starting on day 1and throughout your career at Judd Wire. Pay: starting \$18.69/hourly,3rd shift \$2.00/hour shift differential Job Duties Work from materialmovement documents, written and verbal instructions, and computerscanning device, records and forms. Transfer wire from one location toanother as instructed by movement documents and/or written or verbalinstructions either manually or fork truck. Ensure proper transfer ofproduct. Maintain reels and pallets as needed for assigned operations.Weigh and record scrap as required. Detect and report defectivematerials, malfunctioning equipment, unusual conditions to supervision.Observe all safety rules and regulations. Maintain equipment and workareas in clean and orderly condition. Qualifications The ideal candidatewill be a team player with the willingness to learn and work in a fastpaced environment. High School diploma or GED 1-3 month?s transferableexperience Ability to work in a fast paced environment Position requiresknowledge of ordinary arithmetic including decimals, fractions, andsimple use of specifications together with use of adjustable measuringinstruments. Position requires moderate physical effort consisting offrequently moving average weights and continuous mental and visualattention to repetitive work, requiring constant alertness or activity.Working conditions may expose employee to noise, fumes, dust, etc. PIVTraining and certification will be completed after hire.
