Description:
Will start off doing about 2-3 weeks of classroom, less hands on training (safety, core values, basic certs, etc.) and then 3-4 weeks of more hands on training (forklift certs, learning procedural duties, etc.). More likely than not they will start by getting certified on forklifts and overhead crane (prior certs will not matter as they will be recertified on everything).
Once in the role itself, they will be doing mostly order selecting using the high reach/side loader forklift as well as the sit down forklift to sort and band material once picked and the overhead crane when needed. This is NOT a solely forklift role; candidates will be doing some order selecting, maneuvering of material, loading trucks, banding various metals, lifting up to 55lbs on their own (team lift or forklift for anything more than that). Anything they do not already know how to do, they can be taught.
Pay:
$18.50/hr, Move to $20/hr once hired on
Shift:
2nd shift: 3p-11:30p Monday-Friday +LOTS of OT
Will train on first for 6-8 weeks*
